AICEP has chosen the exhibition stand that will serve as the basis for Portugal’s participation in this year’s edition of Hannover Messe. With a combined area of 200 square metres, it will include exhibition spaces to display Portuguese projects and expertise, a lounge for presentations and meeting rooms.
‘Portugal Makes Sense’ is the leitmotif of Portugal’s participation in the world’s largest industrial technology fair and the underlying theme of the whole exhibition space, visually represented by an astrolabe that will be suspended over the stand and through several 3D backlit logos on the stand’s furniture pieces.
The astrolabe is a piece of engineering that offered guidance and direction to sailors at the time of the Portuguese Discoveries, just as Hannover Messe was born to give guidance and direction to German industry after the Second World War.
Located in Hall 2 at the north entrance (B46) of the fairground, the stand features several sustainability notes, such as the use of sustainably sourced wood and low-energy lighting.
This year’s edition of Hannover Messe takes place from 17 to 21 April under the motto “Industrial transformation – Making a difference” and will reflect on how companies are driving change and developing solutions to create an innovative and sustainable smart industry.
Portugal will be present with more than thirty companies from the areas of Engineering Parts & Solutions, Automation, Motion & Drives, Digital Ecosystems, Energy Solutions, Compressed Air & Vacuum and Startup Area at the 2023 edition of Hannover Messe.
Portugal was, in 2022, the partner country of the largest industrial technology event in the world, with a participation of 109 companies from the Engineering Parts & Solutions, Digital Ecosystems, Energy Solutions and Automation, Motion & Drives areas.
